Biography

Arianna Augustine, (K'wamkw'um'Suli) is a second-year university student studying Graphic Design at VIU. She lives in the Cowichan Valley where she owns a small house with her husband Mathew. When not at school she can be found working, spending time with her family, hanging with her dog, exploring the outdoors, or watching tv. Arianna loves her diverse jobs; she works as a research assistant, co-runs a small video company and does design work.

Arianna finds inspiration from many things on the island including her Coast Salish heritage. She is studying the Coast Salish form line through her grandmother, Jane Marston, and her aunt, Angela Marston. It is her hope that through her blended knowledge she will be able to provide a unique outlook on the possibilities for blending the digital world and Coast Salish Culture.
